Installing the Website App

The Website app is Odoo's powerful website builder that lets you create professional websites without coding. This guide shows you how to install it on your instance.

Step 1: Access the Apps Menu

After logging into your Odoo instance, you'll see the main dashboard. To install new apps:

1. Click on the Apps icon in the top menu bar (grid icon)
2. You'll see a list of all available Odoo applications
3. Use the left sidebar to filter by category (e.g., "Website")

Step 2: Find the Website App

In the Apps list, locate the Website application:

• Look for the app card labeled "Website" with the description "Enterprise website builder"
• You can also use the search bar at the top to search for "Website"
• The Website app has a globe/world icon

Step 3: Activate the App

To install the Website app:

1. Click the Activate button on the Website app card
2. Wait for the installation to complete (you'll see a loading indicator)
3. The system will automatically install any required dependencies

Step 4: Start the Setup Wizard

After installation completes, Odoo will automatically launch the Website Setup Wizard with the message:

"Ready to build the perfect website?"

"We'll set you up and running in 4 steps"

Click "Let's do it" to begin configuring your website, or click "Skip and start from scratch" if you prefer to set up everything manually.
